How to contact us

Appointments

Our triage process

  1. Contact the surgery via KLINIK, phone or front desk (our Care Navigator can complete the online form for you).
  2. Triage review by our GP team.
  3. Decision — you may be offered a same-day or routine appointment, referred to another service, or given self-care advice.
  4. We contact you with next steps.

GP appointments are typically 15 minutes. List multiple issues in your request so we can allocate appropriate time. For home visits, please request before 10:00am where possible.

Continuity of care: Tell us if you have a preferred clinician and we will try to accommodate where available.

Make the most of your appointment

  • Arrive on time and bring a list of your key questions.
  • Remove thick outer layers while waiting, in case your blood pressure needs to be taken.
  • Let us know in advance if you need a chaperone or an interpreter.
  • Keep your contact and address details up to date.

If you can’t attend

Our Did Not Attend policy allows arrival up to 10 minutes after your appointment time; beyond this, you may need to rebook. Please cancel as early as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else. You can cancel via:

  • NHS App or your online service
  • Replying to your reminder text
  • Calling 0208 176 9110
  • Submitting a KLINIK online request

Prescriptions & repeat medications

  • Order repeat prescriptions via the NHS App or website (preferred).
  • You may also request through your nominated pharmacy or drop a note in our reception post box.
  • For safety, we do not take repeat requests by phone.
  • Prescriptions are usually sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy within 2 working days.
  • Some medicines require regular blood tests and monitoring; we will invite you when due.

Health checks

If you take regular medication or have a long-term condition, you may be invited for a New Patient Health Check with our Healthcare Assistants. You can also use the self-health kiosk in the waiting room to update your health status (height, weight, etc.).

Aged 40–74? You may be eligible for a free NHS Health Check every five years; if eligible, we’ll invite you.

Getting here

  • Bus: From Walthamstow Central; W12 and W16 from Shernhall Street.
  • Underground/Overground: Walthamstow Central (Underground & Overground), Queens Road or Wood Street (Overground).
  • Car: On-site parking available. Note school-street closures on Shernhall Street into Addison Road (Mon–Fri 8:30–9:15am and 3:00–4:00pm). Alternative route via Grove Road into Beulah Road. Check Waltham Forest school streets guidance (PDF).

Training practice

We train future GPs. If your appointment is with a medical student, we’ll tell you at booking. These longer appointments provide the same outcomes (e.g., prescriptions, referrals). You can decline and see a regular clinician if you prefer.

Patient Participation Group (PPG)

We are proud to work with our Patient Participation Group, who publish quarterly newsletters and hold practice meetings (usually at 5:30pm). If you’d prefer not to receive PPG communications, you can opt out here.

2025 meeting dates:

Tue 28 Jan . Tue 25 Mar Tue 27 May
Tue 29 Jul Tue 30 Sep Tue 25 Nov

Practice policies

Confidentiality & data protection

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and committed to keeping your data safe. See our 'General Data Protection Regulation' page to see how we use your health records, privacy, and fair processing information.

Recording

All calls are recorded. Security cameras operate on the premises.

Zero tolerance

We treat patients courteously and expect the same in return. Threatening, abusive or violent behaviour may lead to removal from our list.

Freedom of Information

You can request information we hold; unless there is a good reason, we will respond within 20 working days. Please contact the Practice Manager via KLINIK.

Comments & complaints

We welcome feedback. Ask for the Complaints Manager or see our website and waiting-room display for our formal complaints process.

Named GP

Every patient has a named accountable GP responsible for coordinating appropriate services. This does not mean they are the only clinician who will provide your care, nor that they are personally available at all times. Check your NHS App or contact us to find out your named GP.

  • Respect our staff and other service users.

If you or someone else is seriously ill or injured, or life is at risk, call 999 immediately.
